Simply screwing on the Inon Underwater Close-up Lens No. 3 to the front of an Inon Z-22 ring strobe enables 1.2 – 1.7x magnification imaging. The 330mm focal length lens can be installed or removed from the Z-22 underwater, giving the photographer even greater flexibility.
Note: Multiple Close-up No. 3 lenses cannot be stacked. And, this lens cannot be attached to Inon Lens Holder W or S because the thread size and pitch are different.
- The Underwater Close-up Lens No. 3 makes higher magnification close-up photography possible by shortening the close focus distance, allowing the photographer to get closer to the subject. Also, the lens is designed to work effectively both above and below water, allowing the photographer to capture macro subjects above water, and in wet or splash type environments.
- The lens is constructed of two plano-convex high quality optical glass elements in two groups. Compared to lenses using just one double-convex element, the Close-up Len No. 3 design and construction minimizes optical aberrations. Both elements are anti-reflection coated on the inside surfaces. And, compared to using a teleconverter, there is no loss of light.
- It is not possible to stack multiple No. 3 lenses because the lens body is not threaded to receive another lens.
- This lens cannot be attached to Inon Lens Holder W or S because the thread size and pitch are different.
